Mother-Daughter Yoga Retreat

Many of us are looking for the magic pill, the easy answers, the path of least resistance.  The good news is that Creating Health is actually quite simple Your road to healing your body, mind and spirit is all about intake and output….positive connection with ourselves and others,  nutrient dense foods, water, oxygen, exercise, sleep, relaxation and following your dreams.

The bad news is that there is no quick fix….you have to commit to loving your body and treating it kindly every day!!!  You and only you can make the decision to give your body what it needs to heal and function well….in other words W.E.L.L.N.E.S.S.   There is an easy way to remember how to do this….
To get you started, I created a simple guide for parents to follow with their kids.  It is the key to creating and maintaining health!!!!:

Know your Family “genes”; Know your Purpose
Develop a Mindful Awareness of Home/Work/Play
Simplify your life/products/meds, Read Labels. Avoid:
Smoking, Pesticides, Fragrances, Lead, Mercury,
PCB, Benzene, Flame Retardants, Phthalates,
Bisphenol A, PVC, PAH, Asbestos, Organochlorines,
and Hormonal agents in beauty products
Maintain Ideal Body Weight-Know your Set Point!
Find your passion for Exercise and Keep at it!
Find your bliss and practice-Yoga, Meditation, Qigong
and/or Tai Chi and practice with your kids
Eat organic, natural, nutrient-rich whole foods,
grains, nuts and colorful fruits/veggies
Use glass for storing or heating foods/drinks
Use filtered water
Breastfeed babies whenever possible
Avoid alcohol, caffeine, marijuana, narcotics, and aspartame during pregnancy 

-Leave shoes/footwear at the door 

-Create Green Cleaning Kit-Baking Soda, Vinegar                                           

Dust floors and furniture with wet cloth/mop or
vacuum with HEPA filter
-Use fragrance free products especially on children
-Use Natural Fibers
Cotton, Wool, Hemp
-Use Toys/Furniture/Equipment made of
Unpainted/Untreated Wood, Natural Fabrics
-Maintain/Nurture Positive Relationships-Find Gratitude daily!
