If you are like most people that I see in my work caring for those with cancer, you try to live your best life and hope that you can avoid cancer. You probably know someone who has had cancer or even had an experience of a parent, relative or friend with cancer. It can be overwhelming at times and leave you feeling vulnerable and wonder if there is anything that you can do about it.
What I can tell you is that there are things that we CAN DO NOW to help our bodies and our kids bodies develop the resiliency and health they need to stay well for life. While there are no guarantees in this life, there are strategies that we can use that can help us to stay as healthy as possible for as long as possible. This year, each month, we will discuss some of the strategies to keep ourselves and our kids as healthy as possible for as long as possible.
