It was started in 2008 in honor of Billy Burchard who developed Pancreatic Cancer at the age of 43. He lived life to the fullest while undergoing Clinical Research Trials at Mass General Hospital. While he died in 2006, his legacy lives on through all the lives he touched in his brief 49 years.
